14The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. 15He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight. (Luke 16, 14-15).
Stand firm and you will win life. This instruction of Christ is more relevant in the 21st century than any other time in the history of the Church. Because, nowadays, believers are going through more challenges in their spiritual life than ever before and many are renouncing their faith and walking away from Christ.
13“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.( Matthew 7, 13-14)
26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
