20He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17, 20)
18As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” 20At once they left their nets and followed him.
21Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.(Matthew 4, 18 – 22)
10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. (John 8, 10-11)
12Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13“It is written,” he said to them, “ ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ e but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’ f ”(Matthew 21, 12-13).
Is Jesus the One who Confirms a Covenant with Many in Daniel 9, 27?
This is a big question that I was asking myself after listening to a few of the modern Protestant Preachers. One of them was a globally well-known Pastor from the second largest Christian denomination in the world. Others were from the evangelical background.
Disobeying Jesus while calling Him “LORD” – This is something we, born-again christians often do and this was true even when Jesus walked up on the earth. He experienced it and he asked His audience after the Sermon on the Mount.
For you have in mind not the things of God! This is a pretty strong statement that Lord Jesus makes while criticizing Peter for his lack of understanding regarding the mission of Christ on Earth. The following verses give more details about this conversation.
